Join us at the CSU Arkansas Valley Research Center in Rocky Ford, Colorado October 19 & 20, 2022
This meeting will highlight the work of the next generation of professionals and producers in continuing the tradition of good range management through innovative practices and techniques.
This meeting will highlight the work of the next generation of professionals and producers in continuing the tradition of good range management through innovative practices and techniques.
- A selection of young professionals and producers will be the featured speakers, discussing topics ranging from livestock management, range management and water management. Two featured speakers will include High School Youth Forum (HSYF) speakers who represented CSSRM at the 2022 International Society for Range Management meeting in Albuquerque.
- Tours of the Arkansas Valley Research Station and the Colorado State University (CSU) Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory are offered both meeting days.
- The Arkansas Valley Research Station agronomy field tours will focus on soil health practices and “edge of field” flood irrigation monitoring to help irrigated producers understand water quality. The CSU Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory tours will demonstrate the important work being done at the facility to help agriculture/livestock producers better manage animal health.
- The Colorado Section of the Society for Range Management (CSSRM) Board meeting will be on Tuesday, October 18 from 4:00-6:00 pm, at the Hampton Inn, La Junta. CSSRM Board meetings are open to all members, please join us if you can!
- Plus your ticket includes a BBQ brisket lunch catered by the Rocky Ford FFA Chapter on day one, and a second catered lunch on day two!
